Ebay Blues
A while back I saw this quilt on Ebay… and I REALLY wanted it!

Needless to say, I did not ‘win’ it. I was disappointed, but thought that one day I would sew one of my own! One day!
Then this quilt was drawn to my attention:

This time I didn’t bother with the anguish of loosing, I just set about sewing my own! Those of you who have seen me lately will have seen me sewing the blocks, and if you want to make one with me then look out for classes in 2010 at The Quilt Room, Dorking!

Shouldn’t that be ebay greens? LOL
Both quilts look like a lot of fun!

Great looking quilt! Love the e-bay quilt you didn’t get too-that green is fantastic!
I too have sometimes resorted to making my our reproduction quilt…I’ve just posted some pix of my reproduction DWR that’s now marked and ready to be quilted.

Hello, just checking in to say, 1. if I had seen the ebay quilt, I might have been bidding against you! It’s lovely – but I’m sure your own version will be even more delightful; and 2. I was very grateful for your quilting instructions as featured in Sew Hip magazine, specially the ones in issue 10. Without them, I’m sure I’d never have managed to mitre a corner. See http://dotsorstripes.blogspot.com/2009/11/homely-quilt.html. Thanks so much, Kay
